Brent to 101

Brent made it in to 101 just after noon and left shortly there after. He ran into Kleeden at Eagle Summit, drove Wild and Free over the top, parked the dogs, then walked down to Kleeden and lead his team over the top. Way to go Brent, he is the man for his time and place.
Pictures to come..

Comments:
Brent getting his team to the top of Eagle Summit, and then acting as Kleeden’s lead dog to get his team up Eagle Summit just shows Brent’s level of sportsmanship and awesomeness and the respect and compassion Brent has for all these dogs and their mushers. Inspiring Brent, absolutely inspiring!

Thanks to W&F support team, all the updates and photos are wonderful!

IMHO Brent just won this race - regardless of who comes in first!

Go WildandFree!!!!

Busting with pride!!

Your Homer Family!

Definitely a class act. Also a bit of risk involved, leaving his team to go back down the trail, but perhaps he was able to tie his team off at the top. I hear the Quest put something up there so teams could tie off in order to roughlock the runners before beginning the descent.

Those photos show two of the most inspiring people I have ever come across.

I am continually amazed by the enduring spirit of William Kleedehn. A person who has to overcome more than most every single day. I hope that he keeps on racing and keeps on inspiring people to do more with their lives than people would ever suspect possible.

And of course Brent. A man who would never stop to question whether he should help another. He gives his all to win, and then gives it all up in a flash if another needs his help.

Both these men encompass the Spirit of the Yukon Quest, the Spirit of the North and the ideal of what the human spirit should be.

As was said before, no matter who crosses the line first, I think both Brent and Kleedehn are true inspirations to us all.

Brent, you are awe inspiring
