Carmacks

Brent blew through Carmacks, staying only long enough to swap gear and resupply and to drop Thunder. Apparently Thunder took a turn into a tree that injured his shoulder. Brent was not worried about him, it was nothing serious, Mark said Thunder was happy and healthy otherwise. Brent carried Thunder in the sled for about 30 miles so that slowed the team a bit but Brent and the dogs were in good spirits and the rest of the team was eager to keep going. He left Carmacks in 6th place, passing Martin Buser and just an hour and 40 minutes behind the leader, Sebastian Schnuelle. The next checkpoint is at Pelly Crossing, 73 miles down the trail. There is a dog drop just over halfway at McCabe Creek where we should get another update from Mark. Go Wild and Free!
