From 101

Mark says the top 3, Kleeden, Little, and Neff were all struggling to get their dogs up Eagle Summit and it was only after Schnuelle arrived that Little and Neff got over. Sebastian tried to help Kleeden but his team would not go and he was just resting there. I am sure if Brent finds him there he will do what he can to get Kleeden's team going. The others took 10 hours to run from Central but they did not rest at Central like Brent did. So it should take Brent 5-6 hours or so which would put him in to 101 at around 1:00 pm.

Comments:
Gotta love Eagle Summit!!

Aren,
Thanks for the info. I'm just a mom worried about her son! You are doing a great job on the blog. Thanks! Chris

Go Brent and Wild and Free! Love Mom

How the tables can turn. This race has been a blast from start to (the near) finish! GO BRENT! Can't wait to see everyone at the finish!

-Laura (now home via the Wild and Free taxi, thanks guys)

By the looks of the times into 101 for Brent and William (12:13 and 12:14, respectively), I'd guess that Brent did as Brent does and helped William over the summit. Now, he's just 3 hours behind the leaders!

Yeah Brent!

Great story at 101 I sent photos and info to Aren to post. Brent came in ahead of William after helping him up summit he took off after talking to everyone and picking up water
He is fine and in good spirits
Everyone that has come through is tired but going.
Mark at 101 1pm

This just in from Julie Estey:

Brent Sass and William Kleedehn just arrived. From the interviews they both gave (Sass moved on quickly, but Kleedehn has stopped), Kleedehn ran into issues with a female in heat last night and considered returning to Central to drop her because "she was driving the males crazy". He stopped at the bottom of the mountain because of these issues, which was fine because there was a snow storm on Eagle Summit last night that stopped all the teams.

Neff and Little ventured up the mountain a bit and had to stop there. They were all there until Sebastian came along and then those three got up. Kleedehn moved up the mountain a bit, but got stuck again because of the dogs. Brent showed up and helped him up - in Brent's words "I became William's lead dog".

YAY Brent! You are an animal. -Jen
