In and out of Central

Brent took an 11 hour rest at the Central checkpoint. He passed Schnuelle on the trail moving into 4th place. The top 3 left Central just as Brent arrived. Somewhere between Circle and Central Brent had a collision with tree and took the brunt of it in the face so apparently he looks a bit rough but has shaken it off. He had to drop steady, reliable wheel dog Taco due to soreness in his shoulder. Taco finished the race in the previous 2 years and I am sure he will be missed on the run up Eagle Summit.

Comments:
Hi Aren,
Just wondering if you know how bad Brent's collision was and how he is really doing? I haven't heard from Mark. If you can send me an email at csass@sassconstruction.com
with any info or right a comment if you know anything.

Thanks,
Chris Sass

¡Ay ay ay,Taco! ¡Perro bueno! Get some rest, buddy -- we love you here in San Felipe!

It sounds like you really took one for the team, Brent. Take care amigo.

Hey Chris, Kyla called me and said he is fine but he got some cuts on his face, "looks messed up." Its nothing serious, requiring stitches or anything. The tree probably looks worse after having Brent attack it like that.

Here's some {{ <3 <3 love and hugs <3 <3 }} for Perro Bueno Taco and Brent too. May your boo-boos heal fast!

Go Wild and Free!

howls 'n roos,
-Pat
