Brent was on the radio again this morning, and in the papers.

It is snowing heavy and warm, 28 degrees, in Fairbanks and across the interior right now. We are expected to get 4-8 inches here which usually means much more in higher elevations. Hopefully this makes for a bit more of a struggle for other mushers while Wild and Free cruises along as they have all season, breaking trail over Eureka Dome and down the Minook River valley!

Comments:
BREAK THAT TRAIL like you know you want to Silver...ye-yeah!

Question for Thom/Mark/Kyla--is Brent checking his blog comments on his iPhone during the race?

Hey Brent I hope you get the weather you wanted! You're back on the trail, and my W&F hat's back on!

Go Wild and Free!

In response to whether or not Brent is checking his Iphone along the race. No Brent will not be carrying his Iphone on the race. Since there is very little wireless out in the bush of the Yukon and Alaska he wouldn't be able to check anything most of the time anyway. For the most part the Quest sets up the wireless internet for the media in the checkpoints as there is usually not wireless in many of these places, ie, the cabin in Eagle he is headed to, and the Firehall in Circle. Brent is still hopeful that Mac will notice how increasingly dependent on his Iphone his life has become and will consider sponsoring the I-Musher. He is using his Ipod during the race, and the media interviewing him in the finish shoot in Dawson even notice how loud and blaring his music was. He had to turn it off so it wouldn't interfere with their filming and recording. Looks like all those years with a chain saw has put some saw dust in his ears.
Anyone want to sponsor an ear candleing for him? ha ha
Thom

Ear Candling...HaHa!
Thom, that is too funny! I work with wood all of the time and I don't find your comment to be a joke at all...but funny nonetheless!
Rock On Brent and Team!
