Here are a couple pictures Mark took at Pelly Crossing that are exemplary of most checkpoints. There is a bulletin board with musher's times in and out, a common area for the press and others to use telephones and internet access, a kitchen/cafeteria counter with some food for sale, and sleeping areas are pretty much wherever you can lay down but there is always a spot reserved for musher's to sleep.
