Yukon Quest '09Saturday, February 14, 2009A report from Thom Walker on the scene in Whitehorse
The dogs looked great at the start from Horst and my (Thom) view along the start shoot. Silver and Walter took off to a great pace, and everyone looked really happy. We've been staying in the same hotel as Brent and the Wild and Free Kennel here in Whitehorse, so we've seen all their pre-race activity. Lots of happy dogs in the Wild and Free team. Don't forget to give your love to York ( a two time Quest veteran) and Tok who are the two extra dogs Brent brought and didn't make the final cut.
